BACKGROUND:
Samuel Hall, an independent think tank, is carrying out a qualitative study to support the protection of girls and young women in displacement situations. The aim of the research is to investigate the migration choices, decision-making processes and protection risks/vulnerabilities of migrant girls in, to, and through three target countries: Libya, Tunisia, and Morocco, to inform future interventions and ensure activities are gender-sensitive and gender transformative.
This study will rely on in-person data collection and qualitative interviews with children and youth-aged migrants, with a specific focus on girls in Morocco (Rabat), Spain (Andalucia), and Italy (Catania).
