Context
NRC UK was established in 2020 with the main objective of strengthening the profile, outreach and impact of the Norwegian Refugee Council as a humanitarian organisation in the United Kingdom. NRC is looking to leverage the private sector to provide funding, skills, and strategic partnerships that improve the lives of people displaced by conflict worldwide.
This role is offered on a full-time two-year contract basis with flexible hybrid working arrangements at our London office.
The postholder will work with the NRC’s UK Director and the Global Corporate Relations section in Norway to develop, monitor, and implement NRC’s corporate relations policies and strategies in the UK. They will be responsible for creating and sustaining one-to-one relationships with corporations, private foundations, and philanthropists based in the UK. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the global corporate relations commitments in the UK, as well as contributing to the wider Global Corporate Relations section and organisational goals. They will be expected to go out and secure new relationships with UK-based private sector organisations or foundations.
We are looking for someone with demonstratable professional experience of successfully fundraising from corporates, private foundations, and/or private philanthropist located in the UK. The ideal candidate will have demonstratable experience in creating new partnerships – including identifying partnership opportunities, designing projects, brokering, and cultivating relationships, negotiations and designing and formalising partnership structures in the UK.
