NRC is looking for an analytical, influential, and strategic leader to join the team in Myanmar as Protection Specialist. If you are someone who enjoys setting strategic direction and quality assurance, mentoring and developing others, and influencing advocacy and coordination, then this is the role for you!

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Leadership: Developing the Protection strategy and contributing to integrated programming and to policy-level discussions.
  • Technical Quality: Developing technical standard operating procedures, guidelines, tools, etc. Providing technical direction and project implementation support.
  • Fundraising: Developing and revising funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports.
  • Partnerships and Collaboration: Supporting the field teams to strengthen downstream partnership approaches with local NGOs; building networks with peer agencies; and developing strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Advocacy and Coordination: Contribute to advocacy objectives through meaningful engagement in briefings, development of advocacy products, and coordination.
  • Learning: Strengthening Protection monitoring and evaluation tools and systems, and supporting programme learning throughout the project-cycle.
  • Regional Collaboration: Contribute to sub-regional, regional, and global strategic initiatives.
  • Capacity Building: Providing training and building capacity of technical staff.

What You Will Bring

  • Protection experience in a humanitarian/ recovery context.
  • Market analysis, cash-based interventions, and market-based programmes knowledge.
  • Myanmar and/or South and Southeast Asia context knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Humanitarian donor interaction experience.
  • Change management and scale-up experience.
  • Capacity building track record is an added advantage.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal.
