Your team
Within the Network Management Directorate , the "Network Operations" service ensures the efficient and effective provision of H24 Network Manager core operations and of the supporting operational services and the overall achievement of the service's objectives.
Please note, roles within the operation are expected to change as necessitated by introduction of the new system, iNM, and thus applicants should be aware of this prospect and be able to demonstrate resilience, and dealing effectively, professionally, and collaboratively with change.
Your role
This job requires combinations of shift duties with or without night duties as required by their functional assignment.
Your role will be to :
- Through a collaborative decision-making process, to coordinate alternative routes/solutions with Aircraft Operators (AOs) and Air Traffic Control Centres in order to optimise the traffic flow within ECAC airspace.
- Assist in the creation and dissemination of the NM daily plan.
- Coordinate with AOs’ tactical solutions to network problems.
- Perform the meteorological processes, including the responsibility to provide the Network with all required information and updates.
- Participate in teleconferences with AOs and Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs).
- Ensure appropriate communication with the AO community through regular contacts and meetings.
- Continuously adapt plans and propose new solutions taking into consideration ever changing circumstances.
- Proactively provide assistance to the airspace users in order to allow them to optimise their operations, with respect to both capacity and efficiency.
- Contribute to the principles of network optimisation and collaborative decision-making during all relevant NM processes.
- Participate in post operations evaluation related activities and to the improvement of quality and efficiency of operational processes, activities and services.
- Provide reports to line management on request.
- Execute all functions in accordance with defined operational procedures.
- Participate in tests and projects, meetings, etc. in support of operations e.g. testing, training, documentation, crisis management exercises, incident investigation.
- Act as OJTI for colleagues.
- Work temporarily in support functions during office hours.
- Act as Local Competency Assessor for other AOLOs.
- Carry any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
- Secondary education or equivalent professional experience of at least 3 years.
- This job is subject to an internal certification (validation).
- A minimum of 5 years recent airline experience such as in Operations Control, Flight Planning, Delay and Crisis Management, or Airline Dispatcher, with an understanding of meteorological effects on airlines, and NM Systems experience (CHMI, NOP Portal).
- Experience of aircraft operations as from the above experience list.
- Understanding of relevant NM procedures, systems and processes.
- Knowledge of NM applications and tools.
- Experience in the use of standard office application.

- The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1. The selected candidate will be required to become basic user of French at level A1 before the end of the probation period.
