CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The following conditions are to be observed:
• Remuneration will be on a monthly basis; with a monthly salary of USD $3,832.50, equivalent to the P1 international salary scale.
• Payment will be released on submission of a monthly attendance sheet.
• The incumbent will be based in Amman.

• The position will run on a full-time basis from 01 June 2022 to 4 December 2022, provided approved good performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
• Supports the digitalisation of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programme.
• Conducts business and systems analysis, either on individual assignments or as a member of a development project team for the design, implementation and testing of TVET software applications such as the e-Student Registration System, iLearn Moodle platform, online application portal, PCG system, etc.
• Collaborates with relevant IMTD staff in preparing ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ process maps and collecting and documenting user requirements and detailed system and programme specifications.
• Assists in testing the integrity, accuracy, timeliness and safety of all data in the TVET systems and databases, from error detection to error correction, and ensure that data is regularly backed up on site and off site, in coordination with the Information Management Technology Division (IMTD).
• Prepares functional specification documents.
• Proactively communicates with business counterparts to ensure that detailed system and programme specification documents are captured and documented comprehensively.
• Undertakes testing on new system functionalities compared to the requirements and functional specification.
• Undertakes testing of report and data analysis, as required.
• Prepares user manuals and other documentation for TVET systems and application(s), as assigned.
• Develops training materials and conduct training of TVET staff and / or end users.
• Provides end-user support when assigned.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Academic Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, computer science, business administration, or other related discipline.
• Formal training in business analysis and/or software development.
Experience:
• Three years of work experience in software applications development and implementation, with proven experience in:
- Business analysis, understanding of business needs and proven ability to propose solutions.
- Experience in the full systems implementation lifecycle including process mapping, requirements analysis, drafting of functional specifications, testing, drafting of user documentation, delivery of training, data conversion and transition.
- Advanced data analysis.
- Report writing and knowledge of reporting tools (PowerBI, Crystal Reports, SQL Reporting Services, etc.).
- The use of MS Office, MS Project or similar tools.
- At least 2 years of continues international work experience outside of UNRWA areas of operation, outside applicants home country, a county of permanent residence and/or a country that the applicant holds citizenship.
- DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION
Previous experience working with TVET and higher education data management systems.
