Responsibilities:
• Develop bespoke and engaging multimedia content for Refugee.Info digital platforms.
• Work with the Project Officer to identify information needs, develop and implement an editorial calendar to manage content and plan ads campaigns.
• Support the planning and organization of Q&A Facebook live sessions.
• Research on training opportunities, courses, and initiatives relevant for migrants and refugees to be published on Refugee.Info social media.
• Under the supervision of the Project Officer, manage and maintain the website and social media of Refugee.Info.
• Work with the Digital Strategist to track and report on performance on social media platforms and website using relevant and adequate tools.
• Implement recommendations and strategies as designed by the Digital Strategist to improve online performance.
• Build audience for ads, promote content through ads campaigns and maintain a solid online presence.
• Coordinate with the moderation team to ensure timely translation of content.
• Liaised with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of Refugee.Info platforms.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
• Degree in journalism, communication, development studies or another relevant field.
• 2 years of editing experience, social media management and content production for online platforms.
• Strong IT skills; good knowledge of social media platforms. Familiarity with Facebook management page and analytics tools, and ability to learn new tools.
• Video production and photo skills will be considered as an advantage.
• Experience in NGOs preferred.
• Excellent oral and written English skills required; Italian strongly desired.
• Ability to adapt journalistic ethics to a humanitarian context.
• Familiarity with humanitarian principles; familiarity with refugee and migration issues in Italy and Europe.
• Strong writing skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a multifaceted, cross-functional team.
• Proactivity, detail-orientation and time-management skills.
