Project Assistant - Child Growth Monitor (Part Time: 50%)*

in Bonn 

The position is to be filled by September 1, 2022, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are very good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.

Welthungerhilfe's Child Growth Monitor is a digital application using image data and artificial intelligence to turn mobile devices into tools for measuring the bodies of children in order to detect malnutrition. In order to scale the solution on global level, the Child Growth Monitor will turn into a social business. To help us end hunger, we are looking for you in the role of Project Assistant.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of fundraising proposals
  • Support and enable the admin team in their daily tasks
  • Prepare documentation for all relevant administrative processes
  • Handle and document procurement processes for the tendering of services and operating resources
  • Follow-up on timely payment of service contracts
  • Organize and document physical and virtual meetings of the project team
  • Support the communication work of the project team

Your profile

  • A university/polytechnic degree or a completed training corresponding to the position
  • Work experience in teams using agile methodologies like scrum is an asset
  • Knowledge of finance administration is an asset
  • Sound IT knowledge and enthusiasm for digital innovations and progress
  • Excitement to work in an intercultural working environment
  • Excellent spoken and written English; German language skills would be an asset
