Mission and objectives

OUR MISSION To facilitate the social and economic empowerment of the poor and vulnerable inhabitants in communities, enabling their participation in the process of building a more developed, integrated, egalitarian, peaceful, and sustainable nation-state. OUR VISION To become the largest contributor to Cameroon's economic growth, leading efforts to achieve respectful, generous, egalitarian, peaceful, and sustainable communities, where the poor and most vulnerable have equal rights, personal integrity, and equal access to social, cultural, and economic resources. OUR OBJECTIVES a. Achieve truly egalitarian, open, transparent, accountable, and sustainable communities where every inhabitant has equal opportunities for socio-economic development and prosperity; b. Significantly reduce the vicious cycles of illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, and its ills that affect so many societies; c. Improve the standard of living of the poor, marginalized, and of the physically challenged, so that they have access to and control of resources, and are able to optimize them within sustainable bounds; d. Context

Plan, implement, and coordinate development projects; - Consult with field volunteers and local communities about waste management issues, identify their requirements and provide appropriate solutions; - Locate and analyze specific projects and distilling and synthesizing information relevant to the proposed projects; Perform any other related duties as assigned. Under the supervision of the Head of the Development Department, the Development Team designs projects that fulfill the local needs and sit within the aims of SODEIT for poverty reduction, taking into account research findings, local conditions, and constraints; - Strategically plan for the sustainable growth of the support center and its continuity in vulnerable community outreach; - Provide new ideas/ initiatives to overcome local challenges.

Task description

 We are looking for online volunteers who will Support our Development Team in providing guidance to the project staff and management of the overall project implementation, including planning, budgeting, monitoring, risk management, and reporting.  1·        Assist in the planning of the project implementation, including the development of the periodical work plans, 2. Develop the terms of references 3·        Manage the production of the required output and initiating corrective action where necessary. 4·        Manages sensitive issues with great tact and positions SODEIT as a neutral actor with high-quality policy advice.
