Are you passionate about international development and want to make a difference? Do you want to work in a dynamic and exciting environment, where professionals from countries around the world meet to advance on the global immunisation agenda?

At Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, our mission is to save children’s lives and reach them with the most adequate health services - from the day they were born. We strive to improve access to vaccines in lower-income countries through a unique public-private business model that allows healthy vaccine markets and economies of scales. We also support countries in their efforts towards developing and maintaining strong health systems and immunisation teams.

Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance is the premier global health agency coordinating funding and support to vaccination in 68 countries, the number one global purchaser of new vaccines, and the global provider of immunisation-related support to two third of the children worldwide.

BACKGROUND:

The Partners’ Engagement Framework (PEF) is the funding modality through which Gavi dedicates resources to its Core Partners (WHO, UNICEF, World Bank, CDC) and other Expanded Partners (notably Local Partners) for the provision of targeted technical assistance (TCA) to countries and for setting global norms and standards in line with Gavi’s strategic vision of equitable and sustained coverage of immunisation.

Channelling TCA through both Core and Expanded partners affords countries more diversified and fit for purpose expertise to address specific country needs, in a general effort to improve immunisation outcomes and strengthen health systems.

In the PEF team, we engage with partners to provide best support to countries. We receive and review proposals, ensure alignment of objectives and track the performance and advancements of TCA projects. The PEF Team also has a role in the coordination of technical assistance for COVID-19 vaccine delivery preparation and readiness. The support currently provided by the team is referred to as COVAX Technical Assistance/ TA for COVID-19 Delivery Support.
