MSB is currently looking for a Procurement/Contracts Officer for the mission we have with UNICEF in Venezuela. Duration of the contract is initially 12 months with possibility for extension, with start date: As soon as visa is secured.
The Procurement/Contracts Officer reports directly to the Chief Supply and Logistics as per the Country Office set-up for supervision and guidance. The Procurement/Contracts Officer provides technical and operational support as per the Country Office (CO) set-up, and one of the main tasks is the monitoring and expediting of the local purchase orders of goods and the contracts of services of the Country Office, as well as the monitoring of existing Long Term Arrangements. The second key area is supporting the Chief Supply and Logistics in the strategic management of the Supply and Logistics function in the country office. This includes support to the development of Standard Operating Procedures, checklists and templates, capacity building of staff, undertaking market surveys, pre-qualification of suppliers, building the capacity of suppliers, supply planning, collaboration with programmes in defining supply interventions to meet programmatic needs and achieve results for children, and providing technical and advisory support to governments, national systems and partners on supply chain management; and developing Key Performance Indicators for the Supply and Logistics function.
Employed by the MSB on an international mission you will receive a monthly salary 56000-58000 SEK (depending on your relevant experience). You will also receive a comprehensive allowances and benefits package, ranging from free home leave travel to access to psychosocial support.

Duties
Under the supervision of the Chief of Supply & Logistics, and with the support of the S&L team, the Procurement/Contracts Officer will be responsible for the below mentioned activities. The major tasks and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, at the national and international levels, in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, administration and/or other directly-related technical fields is required.
• Understanding of development and humanitarian work.

Contractual conditions
If selected for this position an evaluation will be done after the mission. The evaluation can result in an offer to be registered on the MSB roster. When you are registered on the MSB roster you can continuously receive interesting international job opportunities and invitations to stimulating and valuable trainings and exercises.
A registration on MSB roster is valid for three years. After this period your registration will be evaluated and you may be offered an extended registration. After being registered on the roster you need to conduct the MSB induction training and any specialist training courses required.
