Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Economic recovery Team Leader who will be responsible for coordinating, overseeing and directly implementing DRC’s economic recovery activities aimed at protecting and delivering assistance to Libyan IDPs, vulnerable local non-displaced populations and migrants and refugees as per the scope of relevant project.

About the job

The Economic recovery Team Leader will liaise with DRC staff across departments and implementing partners to ensure compliance with economic recovery SOPs and the maintenance of SOP-compliant records during programming as directed by the  Programme Manager. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinating beneficiary outreach and identification for multiple projects including liaison with local authorities
  • Leading selection of project beneficiaries as per set tools and criteria including participation in a Business Grant Selection Committee
  • Leading site identification and assessments for community cash-for-work projects
  • Overseeing light rehabilitation works and ensuring completion of activities on sites according to project workplan
  • Liaise with local training service provider and overseeing progress of trainings delivered to project participants
  • Supervise cash officers/assistants based in Tripoli and remotely based on project locations

About you

Required

  • Previous professional experience economic recovery including employment, cash and cash for work programs
  • High-level of computer literacy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good communication channels with relevant stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Desirable

  • 4 years’ experience in the field of social work, humanitarian intervention, community development, or any other relevant field is desirable
  • Previous experience working with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), INGOs, UN Agencies and local communities is desirable
