The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), established in 1956, is a multilateral development bank with a unique social mandate. The CEB works to strengthen social cohesion and build thriving communities in Europe by financing projects that promote inclusive growth, support vulnerable groups and bolster environmental sustainability.
The European and External Affairs Division of the European and External Affairs Directorate promotes the CEB’s role and objectives on the European stage by reaching out to the representatives of the Council of the European Union, the European Commission and the European Parliament as well as by representing the Bank in European working and advocacy groups and formats. The Division also produces economic research through scientific and analytical methods, combined with findings gathered from the Bank’s operations.
The European Affairs and Studies Division is looking for an intern to support the division’s work in the area of financing housing to combat housing vulnerability and homelessness in Europe. S/he will work under the supervision of the European Affairs Officer.


Academic background:
Graduated within the past 24 months or currently enrolled in the final academic year at an institute of higher education (ideally at a Master’s level or equivalent).
Studies in Economics, International Relations, Political Science, European Affairs, Development Studies or International Finance.
Professional background and skills:
Knowledge of the functioning of European institutions and decision-making processes.
Interest in issues surrounding housing and migration policies, social development.
Capacity to carry out research and draft reports.
Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
