MANDATE OF THE DEPARTMENT: The purpose of the Change Management Team is to lead, coordinate and advocate for the UNAIDS change agenda in order to deliver against the Global AIDS Strategy, 2021-2026. The team enables organizational and cultural change by developing a platform, tools and communications to engage and support staff by implementing Alignment and the UNAIDS change agenda. It transparently monitors and communicates change results in keeping with the UNAIDS goals of an equal, safe and empowering organization. The team also facilitates, supports, catalyzes and communicates UNAIDS progress towards greater gender equality, diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility at the structural, non-structural and cultural levels. |

Main tasks and Responsibilities of the Position: Under the direct supervision of Senior Advisor Communications (internal), the Internal Communications Officer has the following responsibilities: - Lead on development of content and information architecture for new Sharepoint intranet websites and pages that are required for all staff to access to information - Lead on the development and structuring of information and content for the intranet for UNAIDS in close collaboration with IT and other members of the team. - Monitor user uptake of the intranet by regularly reporting on audience analytics and conducting user experience research to inform the development of new features and content for the intranet. - Contribute to the delivery of internal communications products and staff engagement strategies and to the development of a strong culture of internal communication at UNAIDS. - Develop multimedia products (e.g. videos, print and digital infographics) to ensure that UNAIDS staff all over the world are informed and engaged in support of new policies that affect them and the transformation of the organization and are provided with opportunity to engage and contribute. - Highlight the work of specific teams or individuals in support to cultural transformation of UNAIDS. - Support staff engagement strategies including through supporting organization of meetings, webinars, consultations and writing reports. - Create infographics to support explaining new policies and strategies to staff. - Support analysis and regular feedback on internal communications and staff engagement through development of surveys, staff focus group discussions and analysis of other feedback mechanisms. - Perform any other duties as requested by the Director for Change-management. - This includes working directly with Departments across the Secretariat, the Regional Support Teams and Country Offices. |

Experience: Essential: - Five (5) years' of professional and demonstrated experience working with governments, the United Nations system or other international bodies in the development and implementation of communication strategies, products, advocacy and policy communication. - Experience in web content development, user experience design, intranets, web management systems (HTML), internal communications, change management and communication, project management, use of a wide range of communication tools and software. - Experience in writing on AIDS, health and development related issues. - Advanced skills in web content development and web management systems including HTML and Sharepoint online and content management systems. |
