The Role

At Last Mile Health, we make bold commitments that inspire innovation. Are you an experienced communications professional interested in helping an exciting new initiative grow its brand and impact? If so, you may be the inaugural Communications Manager for the Africa Frontline First initiative.

Africa Frontline First (AFF) aims to support ten countries in Africa to build high-functioning, resilient, country-led community health systems and to professionalize 200,000 CHWs by 2030. Anchored within the local context and health reform journey of each country, these shifts in community health service delivery will save lives, advance global health security, and accelerate post-pandemic economic recovery at the community level. Investments in community health are critical to making progress on the sustainable development goals, including ending AIDS, TB, and Malaria, expanding universal health coverage, and ensuring effective pandemic preparedness and response.

Africa Frontline First is led as a collaborative effort by the Financing Alliance for Health, Last Mile Health, and Community Health Impact Coalition under the championship of Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

The Communications Manager will oversee the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies for AFF.
