Description

 

Reporting to the Head of the Industrial Policy and Space Economy Division, you will help foster dialogue with ESA Member States’ industry to systematically build up our knowledge of European industry and markets and deliver industrial policy services to Member States’ delegations and industry, as well as to ESA’s programme directorates.

Duties

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • fostering dialogue with industry, including by supporting the organisation of high-level meetings with industry;
  • contributing, as Country Desk Officer for specific Member States, to the Observatory for Countries Capabilities and Industrial Policy Task Forces in close cooperation with the Member States concerned and their industry, performing analyses and assessments of their industrial capacities and development opportunities, as well as proposing and implementing measures for Member States with structural return imbalances;
  • assessing the economic impact of space activities, notably by developing market studies;
  • contributing to the definition of the Agency’s industrial policy and return objectives and to the related proposals for their evolution, in cooperation with the Industrial Return and Analytics Office and programme directorates, as well as ensuring their efficient implementation across all programmes and activities, including by proactively managing industrial policy objectives in ESA programmes;
  • contributing to industrial policy-related aspects in the preparation and evaluation of the procurement of activities in close cooperation with the programme and supporting directorates.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
