The Lifeline Foundation (TLF) aims to help the poor who are unable to access fair credits and so they have to borrow money from lenders at high interest rates, thus getting entangled in a poverty trap. Currently, TLF has 25 branches across Bangalore with nearly 3100+ members operating an interest free microcredit scheme. Additionally, due to its prolonged presence in the slums, TLF is intimately aware of other needs of its members and the areas it operates in, and able to direct the charity funds to the neediest and deserving persons. TLF provides charitable support through Scholarships, Educational loans, Medical Aid, Tuition, Debt clearance, food, clothing and blanket distribution. TLF also operates 3 seva kendras as citizen service centres, and runs livelihood support program for Covid impacted. Requirement for a Senior Manager/ Manager - Full Time
We are looking for an individual who can be the face of TLF. S/He should be passionate about creating a significant impact in the social sector. S/He will be expected to plan, execute and monitor all the initiatives such as scholarships, medical aid and health camps, Seva Kendras, Entrepreneurship Trainings and Destitute Drive.
Roles and Responsibilities
To support, monitor and coordinate all interest free microfinance branch operation across all 25 branches
To take ownership of Mifos software is implemented, and operational across all microfinance branches
To draft and prepare quarterly and annual reports of all the activities of Lifeline Foundation.
Ensure regular and timely reporting relating to all activities; Maintain detailed documentation that is also updated and promoted on the website and social media.
To make sure all the health camps and seva kendra camps are planned properly, executed and enhanced
To plan and organize scholarship drives and scholarship programs.
To train new trainers and conduct entrepreneurship trainings at various branches of lifeline.
To help and assist in the Destitute Drive and other projects for livelihood development.
Identify schemes of state & central govt and BBMP that beneficiaries are eligible (e.g. scholarships, pensions, BPL card etc.)
Build a thorough understanding of all relevant schemes and programs to benefit Lifeline beneficiaries and identify the process of application and enrollment, and implement the same
Promote appropriate schemes among members of Lifeline during meetings in consultation with trustees
Meet with government officials, NGOs and others as necessary in order to coordinate and accomplish objectives
To study requirements of the needy, plan and design new projects for upliftment
Prepare and submit project proposals, carry out fundraising activities
Qualification, Skills and Experience Requirements:
Masters / Bachelor of Social Work or Social Sciences or in related areas
Prior related minimum 5 years of work experience in NGOs and similar work will be required
Strong experience with on ground field work with NGOs relating to upliftment of the poor and needy
Good written and oral communication skills speaking Kannada & English; Urdu (speaking only) is important
Conversant with computers to fill forms, reports and communications through email
Evidence of Report writing, fund-raising and proposal writing skills
Salary
INR 25.000 â 35,000 per month (higher based on relevant experience); Fuel and Mobile reimbursements will be extra.
