You will join a highly skilled and motivated team of experts. As a Flight Crew Training Expert, you will either perform
activities foreseen by the standardisation process in the Aircrew - Flight Crew Licencing (FCL) domain or by the
organisation approval process for the certification and oversight of Approved Training Organisations (ATO) and provide
expertise to support the Agency and its stakeholders. More information about the relevant filed of activities can be found

As an Expert in the FCL domain:
◼ Prepare, conduct, report and follow-up standardisation inspections in accordance with the relevant procedures,
work instructions and inputs from management
◼ Monitor continuously Member States to assess their ability to discharge their safety oversight obligations
◼ Act as primary point of contact to gather, coordinate and collate all information related to the Member States in
your portfolio
◼ Support rulemaking and standardisation activities related to flight crew training, with emphasis on initial
(FCL – professional pilot licences, instructor and examiner certificates) and recurrent (OPS – ORO.FC) training
◼ 6 years of professional experience acquired in any of the following organisations:
o civil pilot training organisation
o commercial air transport operator or specialised operations helicopter operator
o National Aviation Authority, as safety oversight inspector in the areas of initial and/or operator flight crew training
◼ EU Part-FCL Airline Transport Pilot Licence, with the ability to exercise its privileges
◼ Valid type rating with an associated instrument rating*
◼ Very good command of both written and spoken English3
*The admission and selection criteria are applicable to aeroplane and/or helicopter. Type and instrument ratings expired at or before 31 December 2020 can be accepted at the discretion of the selection panel.
