Background

This consultancy is under the “Sweet Recovery” Project funded by USAID. The goal of the project is to assist 80,000 drought-affected households in 9 districts of 3 regions of Southern Madagascar, re-establish sweetpotato production and build forward better towards a more climate-resilient production system, by providing access to quality planting material (“seed”) of adapted vitamin A rich orange-fleshed sweetpotato (OFSP) varieties and knowledge of how to store and prepare roots for enhanced food security and use as seed from October 1, 2021 through March 31, 2023 with NCE until June 2023.

Due to the increase of the activities of the project, it is needed a consultant to give support to the Operations team in Madagascar in administrative tasks.

Objectives:
  • Support in Administrative tasks (photocopying, scanning, draft letters, submission for signature, certificate of destination, archiving) when needed.
  • Support in flight and hotel reservations for visitors in Madagascar.
  • Support the procurement process documentation

Deliverables:
  • Initial workplan, approved by the coordinator of this consultancy
  • Monthly progress report and next month approved plan
  • Final report

Expected duration and conditions:

  • This consultancy contract is for February to June 2023
  • The payment is a fixed and consolidated fee.


Requirements

Qualifications/special skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Financial Management, Operations or related field
  • At least 2 years’ experience required in similar positions.
  • Advanced level of MS Office, preferably in Excel
  • Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Understanding of local dialect
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills in French and English (desirable)
