• MSc degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Applied Statistics or similar or equivalent experience in an applied NLP role handling social media data
• Foundational knowledge of social media analysis
• Experience with NLP engineering.
• Experience working with NLP techniques for text analysis, data structures and modeling.
• Advance knowledge and experience in Python and Pytorch
• Strong track record of working with model hosting platforms (e.g. Huggingface/ AWS sagemaker)
• Experience working with transformer models
• Experience using Git or other version control
• Experience working with virtual machines and cloud computing
• Experience in database management (e.g. Postgres/SQL)
• A solid understanding of data anonymization best-practice
• Experience of independently driving a project from idea to a launched product
• A track record of having worked in cross functional collaboration or in client-facing projects
• Experience in working for UN organizations / International organizations / NGOs / Public Sector.
• Experience in using project management software (e.g. MS project management, Asana, Trello) online or any other ticketing system (e.g. JIRA)
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
