Reporting to the Senior Project Officer, the PO-OP shall be responsible for managing programme planning, implementation, capacity building, monitoring and reporting, for all cold chain projects in his/her designated state.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(A) Programme Planning and Implementation of eVIN in the Region:
Provide advice and support to the development and phased implementation of the
Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network (eVIN) that includes vaccine logistics and cold chain management on one single information system platform in the state. This activity will involve a systematic and phased scale up of a system for SMS-enabled real time Management Information system (MIS) for cold chain and vaccine logistics management(VLM) at the respective district level.
(B) Liasoning & Advocacy with the Government & other development partners:
Partners with regional and district level health vaccine structures to assess and understand the capacity needs and support required for the effective and timely implementation of the eVIN in select states. This activity will involve working closely with regional and district level Health officials, coordinating with development partners working on immunization.
(C) Capacity Building and technical assistance for Government:
Assist the Senior Project Officer to identify capacity-building needs on eVIN and undertake capacity-building activities at the district level.
(D) Monitoring and Evaluation of eVIN delivery in the respective Region:
Facilitate the review of the system and capacities relating to the delivery of eVIN in conjunction with State Health Mission. This will include
⢠Undertake extensive field visits to monitor the implementation of the system and providing technical inputs to address gaps and bottlenecks.
⢠The project officers will be required to carefully monitor the eVIN system and alert designated authorities the district level with regards to vaccine inventory and cold chain management.
⢠The project officer will assist, support and monitor the identified implementing agency in the implementation of the system at the district and sub district level. This includes the capacity building initiatives at the regional and district level
⢠Document the implementation process and analytical learnings from the
implementation to feedback into the effective scale up in all the districts of the State.
(E) Report Writing:
Prepares periodic status reports, annual reports, case studies, etc., in a qualitative and timely manner.
(F) Supporting Other Health Interventions:To support the state in the overall immunization program in addition to eVIN and carry out the
implementation of any relevant UNDP system strengthening projects in health (MNCH, NCDs, HIV, etc.,) and other areas as may be required.
To carry out any other task as assigned by your supervisor.

Education:
⢠Post-graduation in Public Health/ Health Administration/Hospital Management/Material Management/Supply Chain Management/ Social Sciences
from a reputed University / Institution.
⢠Bachelorâs degree in MBBS/BDS/AYUSH.
Experience:
⢠Minimum 1-2 Year experience in Public health, preferably in Routine Immunization programme including the vaccine logistics and cold chain mechanisms
⢠Experience in managing information technology-driven projects will be a plus
⢠Should have analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
⢠Should have computer knowledge in MS Office and other applications
⢠Demonstrated experience in managing and scaling large scale projects
preferably in the health sector.
⢠Experience of working in the State Government or other international development organization will be an asset.
⢠Relevant experience in managing Immunization and cold chain related for 2-3 years and managing team.
