Mission and objectives

The United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) supports the UN Resident Coordinator (RC) in Indonesia. As designated representative of the UN Secretary-General, RC leads and strategically positions the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in support of national priorities, development strategies, and plans. RCO coordinates activities related to common programming of UN in Indonesia. The support includes strategic planning, programme and operations management, policy guidance, data management and results reporting as well as knowledge management, advocacy, and communications – all seeking to enhance UN coherence and improve overall programme impact to better achieve development results.

Context

The United Nations in Indonesia is developing an online platform on SDG Stakeholders inventory which aims to create a one-stop-shop for UN agencies in obtaining information on the various organizations across Indonesia. It will house, visualize, and provide easy access for UN Agencies to retrieve contact details, SDG focus, location of works, and information related to resource mobilization of these organizations. To that end, we are seeking the support of online volunteers with good skills in ICT to support in task related to data improvement on the SDG stakeholder map.

Task description

The online volunteers will be working on SDG stakeholder map data improvement. More specifically, they will support in: 1) data cleaning process by integrating existing datasets into the importing templates, or by directly making inputs or edits on the platform 2) support with data validation by spotting any existing errors on the platform, and 3) improving the information by making logos and other important information available on the website.
