Mission and objectives

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well-supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. Context

The online volunteer will be supporting the UNV Kenya filed unit to build a comprehensive integrated and interconnected database tracker. The volunteer will benefit by understanding recruitment and personnel management that he/she may apply in career development.

Task description

To analyze, categorize and organize into a database all of UNV Kenya data on Volunteer assignment Mobilization, recruitment, and management. This will involve: Reviewing UNV Kenya country office Volunteer assignment mobilization, recruitment and management data, and extracting relevant information - analyze internal data sources and existing database for enhancement. Build a comprehensive integrated and interconnected database tracker. The product would be an Excel or other accessible database that presents the information clearly and can be shared with Microsoft office 365. Options for further support include producing visualizations.
