The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding Children and Young People & Gender Equality Policies.

Travel 50% of the total time

Consultant position (to support NACO for Sampoorna Surakha Strategy) has following key responsibilities:
1. Work as part of NACO Basic Service Division towards facilitating the effective management and implementation of Sampoorna Suraksha strategy at the State/ District level.
2. Work as part of NACO towards facilitating the effective implementation of Comprehensive Preventive Services Package for “At Risk” Population identified at Sampoorna Suraksha Strategy (SSS) Centre.
3. Assist in conducting capacity building of staff engaged in Sampoorna Suraksha Kendras.
4. Wherever required, coordinate with the organized public sectors and private sector organizations/ departments to ensure quality service delivery through these Sampoorna Suraksha Kendras.
5. Conduct periodic review meetings with states/ departments to monitor the status of programme implementation, prepare and share the reports.
6. Monitor the SSK budget.
7. Facilitate the supportive and supervisory mechanism for the SACS and SETU team to monitor the program performance at District and State level.
8. Work under the guidance and supervision of Programme Officer and Technical Expert to facilitate the implementation of the activities at Sampoorna Suraksha Kendras
9. Assist in preparation of the annual, physical and financial report and plan for SSS for the whole country.
10. Ensuring training and capacity building of the SSK staff through SACS.
11. Ensure the timely reporting from each SSKs and SACS and do follow ups.
12. Analyze the program performance of the SSS and submit the recommendation and action point.
13. Assist in modifying the strategy to reach out to newer populations through SSKs and based on the mid-term reviews.
14. Develop documents pertaining to process documentation and best practices.
15. Track reporting from all reporting units and generate monthly status updates.
16. Conduct field visits to SSKs especially in weak performing states and districts.
17. Assist in conducting Stakeholder meetings, conferences/ consultations/workshops, field visits.

Any other work assigned by Reporting Officer/ Senior Officers of NACO.

Eligibility:

Education Qualification
• Essential: Master’s in Social Sciences/ Social Work/ Public Health/ Psychology
Essential Skills
• Proficiency in the usage of the computer (MS-Word, MS Excel, MS – Access)
• Strong presentation and communication (written & oral) skill

Experience
• Minimum 04 years of work experience in the field of development/ health programs preferably HIV/AIDS at State/ National level.
• Excellent understanding of HIV/AIDS and development issues.
• Experience of Report Writing
