The contract will be for a period of 2 years (the first 6 months shall be a probation period), renewable for another year subject to satisfactory performance and project period extension.
About WASSAN:

WASSAN- (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network), Hyderabad is a network-based organization focusing on improving the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and livelihoods. It engages actively in policy advocacy initiatives at the state and national levels mainly related to rainfed areas. WASSAN has contributed substantially to the development of watershed policies in various states and at the Government of India. WASSAN is also working with various partners in different States as part of the RRA Network on rainfed agriculture-related agenda.
WASSAN partners with the Government of Odisha for the Special Programme for Promotion of Millets in Tribal Areas. This is being implemented in 125 blocks of 19 districts of Odisha. The project aims to improve millet production through organic/sustainable agriculture practices, set up processing units, provide market linkages through farmer collectives, and include millets in state nutrition programs.
Purpose of Job:

WASSAN is now seeking a Programme Associate â Human Resource with strong generalist experience. This is a full-time position to be based in Bhubaneswar. Responsibilities include recruitment, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, talent management, support to the administration team, and oversight of HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
⢠Supporting & coordinating the hiring process.
⢠To do the joining formalities for new employees.
⢠To support logistics, planning, and conduct of induction programs and organizing staff development programs such as training, exposures, etc.
⢠Coordinating with Head Office and follow-up on confirmation letters, TORs, Insurance, and dissemination of same to the concerned employee.
⢠Coordinating and follow-up with districts for HR documents as and when required. Helping in preparing necessary renewals, dispatching to the respective project officers, and obtaining the acknowledgment copies
⢠Ensuring the implementation of staff benefits as per the organizational rules and regulations.
⢠Helping in maintaining the database of employees and obtaining data on staff benefits and preparing reports.
⢠Follow-up with staff for ensuring compliance with separation formalities like handing and taking over of charge, submission of a clearance certificate, etc.
⢠Preparation of final settlement of separated staff and ensuring that the final settlement/ Relieved & Experience Certificates are received by the separated staff and obtaining a receipt of the same.
⢠Coordinating with Head Office as and when required
⢠Ensure that personnel files are maintained, including records such as ToRs, job descriptions, and performance evaluations.
⢠Administering employee benefits and supporting finance team as and when
required
⢠Supporting in doing Admin functions.
Desired Skills:

⢠Possesses a strong work ethic.
⢠Excellent coordination skills with strong attention to details
⢠Demonstrated experience in supporting organizational effectiveness, staff development, and fair and consistent performance management practices promoting positive employee relations and organizational culture.

⢠Strong ability to prioritize, manage projects, and work autonomously as well as in teams
Desired Candidate Profile:

⢠Must have postgraduate preferably MBA (HR) or Personal Management with a minimum of 4 yrs. of work experience.
⢠Excellent people and communication skills. Proficiency in English and Odia is mandatory.
⢠Have good computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PPT, Google Spreadsheet, etc.
⢠Understanding of agriculture schemes, agriculture-related livelihoods, and women entrepreneurship will be an added advantage.
⢠Not have any complaints against him by Government, Civil Society, Community organizations, or Private agencies.
Compensation:

Rs.35,000 (maximum) per month based on experience & skill
