Assistant - Baker

ICRISAT seeks a highly motivated and qualified baker in catering, crafting and creating exciting bakery products as per requirements.  The candidate will ensure to see that the high quality service is rendered at all times. The ideal candidate should be have the right experience and make sure that the bakery runs smoothly.  The position will report to Manager - Catering Services.  The position is based in the Headquarters in Patancheru, Telangana.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Ensure to upkeep of the bakery equipment and maintaining high standard of personal and work place hygiene.

·Baking of the products with available infrastructure and equipment’s as directed by the supervisor.

·Commitment towards the assigned job, having good knowledge in preparing the bakery products with most dedication to meet the required activities of the day.

·Acknowledging the instructions from supervisor, clarifying the day's activities in detail for preparation of the items and delivery in time.

·Based on the activities, plan and prioritize the requirements, by maintaining the consistency and standard in providing the bakery requirements timely and promptly.

·Ensure to complete the given assignments timely as per the schedule. Measured and quantified ingredients are to be used for specific bakery items preparation.

·Maintain consistency and quality in baking various products.

Requirements:

·Diploma in bakery and confectionery or atleast 10 years of relevant experience in a similar field

·Experience in handling food and Services operations

·Should have excellent knowledge in baking all kinds of bakery products including millet based products. 

·The candidate should possess good manners, and should be soft spoken

·Good listening skills and Should be able to handle difficult clients in a professional way

·Should be able to serve large groups. 

General:

This is a contractual role for a period of 36 months (3 years’).
