We are looking for a Security Accreditation Officer who will have a key role in the accreditation activities of the department relevant to the IRIS² and GOVSATCOM tasks, in line with the applicable legislation. The job holder will be entrusted in particular to set the basis for the security accreditation of the IRIS² and GOVSATCOM, and to coordinate its implementation, following SAB instructions. He/she will contribute to the drafting and maintenance of the relevant Security Accreditation Strategy, and will be responsible to coordinate the accreditation activities of this. In addition to core tasks, the Security Accreditation Officer will lead in her/his area of competence as necessary other tasks of the department, such as: - Organise meetings and administrative tasks needed for the functioning of the SAB and its bodies; - Prepare security accreditation reports and notes supporting the SAB decisions; - Perform security assessment tasks on infrastructures and operations, based on documentation review and security assessments on site, to determine the fulfilment of all security principles in terms of information assurance and security risk; - Participate in the elaboration of security risk analysis; - Participate in relevant Programme reviews and technical meetings, and report on these to ensure findings are addressed, possible non-compliance to the system security baseline is identified, new security risks are known and security measures are defined to reduce such risks to acceptable levels; - Provide security assurance expertise on topics of concern to the SAB and its subordinate bodies in order to support the decision-making process; - Liaise with the cyber experts in the Security Accreditation department and contribute to checks of results of cybersecurity activities (e.g. definition and implementation of cybersecurity requirements, cybersecurity audits, vulnerability management, mitigation/correction plans); - Contribute to the management of security accreditation contract activities, such as draft contracts, participate in procurement phases, manage the awarded contracts and associated contractors, coordinate contractors’ activities, and review deliverables; - Contribute to other tasks of the Department as necessary and liaise with other departments, notably in the area of Administration, to ensure the execution of related corporate tasks, such as planning, reporting, administration, financial & budget management, risk management.
