ICRISAT seeks applications from dynamic professionals for the position of Manager for its Agribusiness and Innovation Platform (AIP) under the Global Research Program – Enabling Systems Transformation (EST). This role involves handholding & mentoring the Board of Directors of Rythu Nestham Food Producers Company Pvt. Ltd (RNFPCL). Handling operations of Secondary Processing Unit (SPU) of RNFPCL, Production of value added products of millets, groundnut and pulses, report preparation and project information management. This position is based at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to deliver business expectations

·Ensuring the delivery of volume, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards

·Responsible for all business metrics - Cost, Quality & Delivery Responsible for all plant efficiencies and negotiations, Process improvements, Yields of all plants and training of the executives

·Accountable for Budget preparation & Its compliance in the operation. Ensuring the compliance of Internal control policies

·Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets

·Accountable for implementation & continued of Quality & Safety policies & system

·Leading the factory projects to create future capabilities & technological upgradations

·Create harmonious working environment, train and mentor staff and motivate all team members to perform efficiently

·Explore and analyse market trends and identify new opportunities in assigned region

·Coordinate with Marketing team to develop and implement operational plans for new product launches

·Analyse and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems

·Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected

·Work closely with Finance to ensure compliance and understanding of profit and loss of plant operation Schedule and conduct plant meetings with production and related staff

·Manage cost and manufacturing components such as package material, raw ingredients, fixed and variable labour, quality, efficiency, reliability, scrap, rework, energy, GMPs, safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance

·Responsible for preparing and executing the plant overhead budget, and direct product cost targets

Education Qualification:

·Master’s degree in food processing, food science and operations management with atleast 10+ years of experience in Food manufacturing operations.

·Should have been in a leadership position for last 3-4 years.

·Proven track record of managing Food snacks plants independently.

·Knowledge of manufacturing systems, including BOMs, routings, capacity, work orders, inventory control, and shop floor control

·Knowledge of GMPs, PC, HACCP, EMP, OSHA, FDA, and USDA regulations

·Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints

Personal Characteristics:

·Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize in a highly fast-paced environment. Significant experience in managing continuous process manufacturing plant

·Demonstrated analytical, communications and problem-solving skills

·Demonstrated acumen in project management, leading in a collaborative nature, managing multiple priorities and strategic thinking needed

General:

This is a contractual role for a period of 24 months (2 years’).
