??Disha India Education Trust is striving towards redefining education and learning based on the principles of Experiential Learning and Gandhian Nai-Talim, thereby facilitating the reinvention of schools and our country’s education system at large.
We are currently running a community school based on Experiential Learning principles in village Padha, near Karnal, Haryana.

??Position Summary:
We are looking to hire an advocacy manager who will work closely with our founders to help develop Disha India Education identity, brand and position with our key stakeholders - our current & future supporters/funders, current & prospective employees, our parent community and communities at large.

??What you will be doing:
You day to day work will vary a lot and leaves a lot of wiggle room for you to be creative in approach you want to use to further our goals. However, here are some examples
1.Overall revamp of our website and refresh the content there-in.
2. Develop audio and video content in line with Disha India’s foundation principles and pedagogies
3. Develop and further our presence on key social media
4. Build a strategy and create an action plan for advocacy and fund raising
5. Interview our current supporters/funders, teachers, parents, community members and students to generate content material
6. Generate ideas for blog content and author blog articles
7. Design & promote content for specific fundraising campaigns.
8. Partner with our founder in canvassing for our brand, outreaching to and meeting with (as it makes sense) with prospective funders
9. Identify sister organizations in India and around the world with whom we can share & exchange ideas etc.

??How We Will Measure Success:
In the short-term, success is measured by deliverables & results but in the long-term, success is measured by key metrics such as growth in the number of supporters who donate to our cause & followers on social media
1.Increased velocity of publishing content on social media
2.Regular publishing of content on our website
3.Website Visitors
4.Social Media Followers

??Desired Skills & Interests:
A keen interest in making a social impact through education is highly desirable - this will go a long way in ensuring you will be successful in this role
A rural Indian background will be helpful, so you are better able to understand, empathize & connect with Disha India’s mission and key stakeholders

?? Other Points:
Its desirable that you are based in the Delhi-Gurgaon region although for the right person, this can be relaxed.
To start with, it can be a part-time or a part-time leading to a full-time assignment, but regular visits( once in 6/8weeks) to our school (in a village in district Karnal, Haryana) will be required.
