ICRISAT seeks applications for the “Senior Associate – Tillage Operations” position for ASIA, Farm and Engineering Services. To Carry out all Farm Machinery operations to support field experiments, seed multiplication activities on day-to-day basis. To provide timely and precision services in Research Fields/Farms To assist in maintenance & upkeep of all the associated machinery. To perform preventive maintenance activity and a range of technical tasks as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate farm tractors, Implements, Harvesters, Threshers, Seed Dryers etc.
• Ensure routine maintenance of equipment and seasonal calibration of implements.
• Responsible for repair and maintenance activities of implements and other farm machinery.
• Maintain records of all information related to job performed on duty-slip.
• Should be a good team player and be adaptable to multi-disciplinary teams and also work independently.
• Collaborate with Workshop personnel for repair & maintenance of machinery/ equipment. The job involves a high degree of precision and accuracy specific to experiment station needs.
• Should comply high standards of quality and safety.
• Should be proactive and display commitment to work during late hours and on weekends/ off-days.

Requirement:

• SSC + Valid Heavy and Tractor RTA License.
• Should be able to speak (Telugu, Hindi, and English) & read / write simple English.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tractor-based Farm Machinery Operations.

General:

This is a contractual role for a period of 36 months (3 years).
