| Overview of position |
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing
professional administrative, coordination, and communication support to the
Commissioner NRC. The NRC aims to implement an effective demobilization and
reintegration program for ex-combatants, and the Executive Assistant will play
a critical role in facilitating its successful implementation.

| Role objectives |
Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage the Commissioner's schedule, calendar, travel arrangements, and appointments.

Provide administrative support to the Commissioner in organizing, scheduling, and taking minutes in meetings with various stakeholders.

Draft, review, and edit communication material such as letters, reports, presentations, and speeches on behalf of the Commissioner.

Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and ensure they are appropriately filed and tracked.

Conduct desk research and provide comprehensive reports to the Commissioner to facilitate informed decision-making.

Maintain a good working relationship with other government agencies, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination on DDR activities.

Provide support in the preparation of procurement documents, contracts, and other relevant documents related to the DDR program.

Monitor and follow up on action points arising from meetings and reports and ensure that these are resolved in a timely manner.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Amharic.

Demonstrated experience in coordinating, managing, and scheduling executive-level functions.

Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Good knowledge of government policies, operations, and regulations.
