As part of its Democracy, Human Rights and Peacebuilding programme, NORCAP supports the UN Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO). MONUSCO works to protect civilians and consolidate peace in a country ravaged by war and internal conflict. Since 2009, NORCAP has provided experts within the fields of stabilisation, conflict related sexual violence and the women, peace and security agenda.
This position in based in the Joint Human Rights Office (JHRO) in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo for MONUSCO and has a duration of 12 months. The Human Rights Officer, transitional justice specialist position is under the direct supervision of the Coordinator of the Transitional Justice and Fight against impunity unit, and under the overall supervision of the Director of the Joint Human Rights Office.
