Build up Nepal is a social enterprise on a mission to replace dirty fired bricks with low-carbon, affordable bricks made by local micro-enterprises.
This is important because the fired brick industry is responsible for 37% of CO2 emissions in Nepal and millions of families live in poverty without access to safe housing.


Build up Nepal empowers local entreprenuers produce eco-friendly bricks, creating local jobs and building safe houses where it is needed the most – in poor, underserved areas.

We are looking for an experienced grant / proposal writer on freelancing basis (approx 24-40 hours per month). 

The job includes

  • Systematic donor mapping and analyzing funding opportunities
  • Analysis of grant opportunities
  • Proposal writing & editing

You will be working closely together with our founder to develop and edit the proposals. 

The work can be done remotely or from our office in Kathmandu or both. 

We are looking for a person with solid writing experience, an ability to describe complex things in simple ways and a passion to make a difference.
