About the Organization: Solidarity and Action Against The HIV Infection in India (SAATHII) is a registered non-profit organization that works towards universal access to healthcare, legal and social services for people living with HIV/AIDS and vulnerable groups such as transwomen, men who have sex with men, women who sell sex and people who inject drugs. Registered in 2002 and headquartered in Chennai, SAATHII has operationss across the country.

Description of the Project: The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFTAM) has entrusted SAATHII with the responsibility of Increase the capacity of sex workers of all genders and their CBOs towards building sustainable community mechanism for resilience and right to life with dignity. Strengthen institutional capacity and sustainability of 132 CBOs serving sex workers (F, M, TG) and Increase understanding among sex workers regarding their rights, and enable their access to available socio-legal mechanisms for the prevention and redressal of stigma, discrimination, and violence.

SAATHII seeks applications for the post of Senior Finance Officer (under C19RM Project) and to be part of the Principal Recipient (PR) team for the GFATM supported above mentioned project.

Qualification and Skills:

• Graduation / Post-graduate degree in Commerce or Financial Management from a recognized University
• Minimum 5 years’ of working experience in the NGO sector and engaged in financial management, sub-grants management and administration.
• Proven ability of overseeing financial management and partner management of multi-state complex projects with sub-grants of partners
• Proven ability in interfacing with donors and grantees, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
• Experience in conducting supporting monitoring visits and financial data validation in sub-grantee partner organizations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Hindi
• Willingness to travel extensively to all the project implementation states and Sub-recipient partner organizations. An average travel of 15 to 18 days per month will be required
• Sound computer skills, including use of Internet and MS Office™ software and latest version of Tally accounting package
• Analytical capabilities to prepare various financial reports and financial data analysis as required by the donor and the organizational management
• Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day-to-day accounting work and grant management of the project, under the guidance and supervision of Finance Manager and Finance Director.
• Management of Sub Recipient (SR) Partners and provide necessary training and technical assistance to them in the areas of finance, administration and human resource management
• Conduct Supportive Monitoring Visits (SMV) and On-Site Data Validation (OSDV) to the SR partners, as well as reviewing their financial reports and data on a periodic basis
• Undertake day-to-day accounting work (including maintenance of books of accounts), payments processing and related documentation work
• Tracking the cash inflow and outflow of the project fund including the same in the Sub-recipient Partners, timely release of funds, and preparation of various financial reports and MIS
• Ensuring strict adherence to all donor and statutory compliances and organizational policies and systems
• Supporting, managing and coordinating project grant audits, statutory audits, other audits and donor reviews on an ongoing basis.
• Supporting various administrative, procurement and HR related work on a day-to-day basis
• Undertake other activities and responsibilities as required by the project and the organization

Remuneration: Salary will be commensurate with skills, qualifications, years ‘of experience and current pay scale.
