CRS India program was established in 1946. The national office is in New Delhi, with programs operating in several states of India. The primary program sectors in which CRS India works are emergency relief and recovery, health, agricultural livelihoods, and anti-trafficking.
Project Background:
âChanging the Way We Care (CTWWC)â project supports alternative care options for children at risk of separation or otherwise living outside of protective family care, and takes a holistic approach to addressing unnecessary family-child separation through the promotion of family strengthening and non-institutional alternative care options. Learnings from the India country Programs and the global platform on Changing the Way We Care Initiative will be leveraged to influence the care reform system.
Job Summary:
You will assist project implementation by working directly with local partners, coordinating various project activities and events in support of Catholic Relief Servicesâ (CRS) work to serve the poor and vulnerable. Your coordination and relationship management skills will ensure that the project for which you are responsible applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.
Overall Responsibilities:
⢠Support the coordination and monitoring of project activities, ensuring implementation schedules are met as per the detailed activity plan, and that adherence to systems for quality project implementation are strengthened.
⢠Ensure proper tracking of resource use for project activities through periodic budget reviews and follow-up with and assistance to implementing partner.
⢠Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.
⢠In coordination with the project team support capacity building events for the partner organizations.
⢠Support accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities and assisting partners in their efforts to collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools.
⢠Collaborate with local partner to prepare reports per established reporting schedule.
⢠Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.
Education and Experience :
⢠Bachelorâs Degree in Sociology, or in a field of Social Science.
⢠Minimum 2 years of work or volunteer experience required for this band and preferably for an NGO.
⢠Good understanding of Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) and Juvenile Justice Act (JJA), system would be a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
⢠Observation, active listening, and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment.
⢠Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
⢠Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented
⢠Fluency in English and fluency in Hindi or Odia
Travel Required: 40- 50% travel to project sites as per the requirement of the project.
