SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, a member organization of SOS-Kinderdorf International, provides total care to the children who have lost their parents as well as the children who are at risk of losing the care of their biological family. The organization has well established Projects in Piliyandala, Nuwaraeliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala, Jaffna, Gandara, Peraliya, Malpotha and Mallavi invites applications from highly committed individuals who meet the requisite qualifications for the following position.

EXECUTIVE – HUMAN RESOURCES & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

LOCATION - NATIONAL OFFICE – PILIYANDALA

Job Profile:

  • Assist the Head of HR to drive the organizational HR & OD and Policies and strategies.
  • Assist the Head of HR to implement safeguarding policies such as Prevention of Sexual Harassment Exploitation & Abuse (PSHEA) policy and the Code of Conduct.
  • Coordinate key HR Functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training & development, employee satisfaction & benefit surveys and payroll.
  • Coordinate Employee Engagement and Employee Welfare activities of the organization.
  • Responsible for the timely issue employee documentation such as appointment letters, confirmation letter, promotion letters and job descriptions.
  • Manage the leave and absence module in the HRIS system.
  • Compile HR & OD reports such as capacity reports, attrition reports, training impact analysis, etc.
  • Assist the Head of HR in managing the grievance & disciplinary procedures of the organization.

Key requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 3 – 4 years work experience in human resources is desired.
  • Candidates must share in the organizational values of SOS Children’s Villages; Courage, Commitment, Accountability & Trust.
  • Fluent in English & Sinhala in both speaking and writing. Tamil Language skill is an added advantage. Sound written & oral communication skills are desired.
  • High degree of computer literacy in Email, MS Office and business communication tools such as MS Teams and previous exposure to HRIS systems are desired.
  • Well organized and methodical candidates with good empathy and the ability to meet deadlines will have definite advantage.
