Mission and objectives

Universal versatile society is a non-political, non-communal and nonprofit making, non-governmental voluntary social organization registered under Societies Registration Act-XXI of 1860 with Registration No. Maha/514/05/Akola on dated 30/06/2005 by the authority of Govt. of Maharashtra’s Asstt. Registrar of Societies, Akola Region - India. Our Mission: ‘Dedicate to serve the community, nation and world by connecting the donors with community-based projects, coordinate the available resources and expertise to promote sustainable development in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.’ Objectives of the organization: 1. To promote socially, culturally, economically, and/or ecologically sustainable goals through our advocacy projects and transform a village Nagthana into eco village. 2. To save the life of farmers in Vidarbha by serving them through Mental Health Project in 128 villages. 3. To reset the agro-economy of rural Vidarbha through deployment of regenerative agriculture practices which further facilitate marketing of produce through ‘Family Farmer’ project. 4. To encourage learning in local environment by rejuvenate public schools through digitalization and Project Based Learning concept which ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote learning opportunities for all. 5. Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. 6. To utilize the potential of women in society and empower them through education and involving them in community development mission.

Context

Universal Versatile Society is in consultative status with UN ECOSOC and working to address many social issues. In particular, we are working in one of the aspiration district of India, rural Vidarbha, which is proclaimed as farmer's suicide prone region. Our project 'Psychiatric Rehabilitation of Farmer's' aims to save life of farmers in Vidarbha by serving them through mental health activities. Through this assignment we are intending to get the support from Online Volunteers to apply for Mental Health Project Grant so that we may lead our 'Psychiatric Rehabilitation of Farmer's' project in Vidarbha to achieve one of our objective and contribute to SDG no. 3 on God Health and Well-being.

Task description

Selected Online Volunteers may work in team to fine tune the already developed Project Proposal of Mental Health Project. Online volunteers may be given the details of Expression of Interest (EOI) published on Mental Health domain or else they may need to search online. Depending upon the requirements mentioned in the EOI, volunteers are expected to prepare the final grant proposal. The selected online volunteers will also be assigned with specific tasks, such as: - For instance, one of the volunteer may work on donor’s requirements mentioned in EOI and accordingly responsible of managing the resources for preparing the proposal. They may work on drafting the grant proposal with all the necessary information. - Second volunteer may work on Budgeting and Monitoring and Evaluation plan of the project. Both the volunteers will work together to verify all the things are as per EOI expectations. The Online Volunteers will not be requested to make donations in-kind or financial contributions or to solicit donations from third parties.
