Mission and objectives

En Algérie, l’Organisation des Nations Unies est représentée par 19 agences, fonds et programmes spécialisés résidents et non résidents qui mènent leurs activités suivant leurs mandats spécifiques et conformément au Cadre de coopération signé avec le Gouvernement. Le Coordonnateur résident est le leader de l'Equipe-pays des Nations Unies (UNCT) et son rôle est de rassembler les différentes agences des Nations Unies afin d'améliorer la cohérence et l'efficacité de leur action au service du développement du pays. Il joue un rôle central dans la coordination des activités opérationnelles des Nations Unies pour le développement afin que l'aide des Nations Unies soit alignée avec les priorités nationales de développement et la demande de renforcement des capacités, en conformité avec les traités internationaux et les objectifs de développement durable. Le Bureau du Coordonnateur résident est la principale structure d'appui aux activités du Coordonnateur résident et de l'Equipe de pays, afin de renforcer les activités conjointes du système des Nations Unies. Son objectif est de maximiser, de manière coordonnée, le travail de l'ONU afin que le système puisse apporter une réponse collective, cohérente et intégrée aux priorités et aux besoins nationaux, dans le cadre des objectifs de développement durable et des autres engagements internationaux.

Context

The objective of this online assignment is to create visually appealing and engaging graphics for the Algerian 2022 UN Annual Report before its public release. The selected volunteer will be responsible for creating graphics, including icons, that will be incorporated into the report. It is important for the graphics to align with the UNRCO brand guidelines and take into consideration the target audience of this report. Those elements will be shared and discussed with the volunteer in advance.

Task description

We are looking for 1 Online Volunteer/s who under the guidance of focal point Rachid Allaf and in close collaboration with the communications team support us by producing graphical icons designs for the Algerians UN annual report 2022. In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to: - Create draft design based on requirements and discuss with focal point/ communications team; - Develop the design according to agreed requirements. The design should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance. The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the team at UNRCO and learn about the ways in which graphic design can support a more effective communication about UNCT work.
