Mission and objectives

The UNDP, Iraq Rule of Law (RoL) Programme is being expanded, informed by past and on-going interventions aimed at strengthening equal access to security and justice through a range of initiatives to advance reasonable delivery of responsive, accountable and accessible security and justice provision. Within programmes on- going support to the Government's efforts on Security Sector Transformation the overall programme plays a lead role in the implementation of the recently endorsed Security Sector Reform (SSR) Programme as well as in local or civilian policing, criminal justice systems and oversight and accountability aspects of this long-term reform efforts. Overall UNDP Rule of Law Programme works in collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholders including the Prime Minister Office, Office of the National Security Advisor, Ministry of Interior, Higher Judicial Council, Parliamentary Security and Defence Committee and a range of other relevant ministries and agencies; international partners and Iraqi civil society. Under the guidance and direct supervision of RoL/SSR Project Manager, the role of the post -holder is expected to provide day- to-day programme implementation support and assistance to implement project activities related to Security Sector Reform / Rule of Law engagement in Iraq. In this environment, effective project development and implementation also involves planning for and managing a range of expected risks. Finally, the post -holder must contribute to UN wide processes and discussions to advance UNDP Rule of Law thematic priorities - local and civilian policing, criminal justice systems and oversight and accountability as well as cross-cutting issues - gender integration, conflict sensitivity and human rights.

Please indicate how you expect the Online Volunteers’ contributions through this task will support your organization's efforts towards achieving the SDGs. INpoint platform is an online platform developed by UNDP Iraq on 2020 provides virtual environment for entrepreneurs, communities, companies, and institutions that provides an innovative space for youth and entrepreneurs to interact with other stakeholders of the ecosystem (private and public sector) is based on the gamification system. This platform consists of E-learning, profile system, team management, events management, success stories of startups, and Mentorship that could be used by the investors and institutions aiming to support and work with youth. The project team are currently preparing for the launching and will need support to make sure the platform and the mobile application are ready for launching and bugs free. UN volunteers can support SDG9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) SDG4 (Good education) and SDG11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through their involvement in supporting the UNDP in the launching and implementation of the INpoint platform, they can contribute on: • Assisting in platform management and improvement: UN volunteers can support the UNDP in the maintenance and improvement of the INpoint platform. They can contribute to monitoring user feedback, identifying areas of improvement, and suggesting enhancements to the platform's functionality and user experience. By actively participating in platform management, volunteers help ensure its effectiveness and long-term sustainability. • Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship: UN volunteers can play a crucial role in promoting the use of the INpoint platform among entrepreneurs, youth, and startups. They can engage in outreach activities, organize workshops, and raise awareness about the platform's features and benefits. By encouraging the use of the platform, volunteers contribute to fostering innovation and entrepreneurial activities, thus supporting SDG9.

Task description

We are looking for [3] Online Volunteers who under the guidance of [project officer] and in close collaboration with the project and volunteers team support us by testing and reporting the function issues in addition to provide timely solution suggestions to fix the issues for [INpoint platform.]. In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to: - Flagging the issues for the online platform and the mobile application. -Categorize the issues based on priority and feasibility. -Suggest effective solution to fix the issues -Report all issues to the project team, who will then take it to the developers/
