Mission and objectives
The founders of the Africa Youths for peace and Development having seen harsh realities which are being experienced the entire continent as a result of war and the consequent violence galore which follow, have decided to form the organization with the vision of continental integration for peace and development for youths in the continent. It is the belief of this organization that violence achieves no meaningful goal. Africa Youth for Peace and Development organization was formed 1995 and was finally registered in the year 2000 under the ministry of youth and sport in Sierra Leone, as a voluntary, youth development organization that aims at organizing, empowering and creating opportunities for youths and Youths groups that are in difficult circumstances. The organization has been working in the areas on Peace, HIV-aids, Homeless youths, War child, Health and Sanitation, youth development and total involvement of youths in the change of the society, That is by creating youth workshop training, seminars and conferences on how to bring everlasting peace and sustainable development for the minorities, the nation and the world as a whole.
Context
Our organization has developed an online news service that will provide current news in Sierra Leone and the world at large. For this reason, we are seeking the help of an online volunteer that has a wealth of experience in developing training manuals that will be used by the organization to train others. The training manual developed by volunteers will be used as a tool to engage young people to engage in journalism as a profession thus creating employment for themselves.
Task description
Wea are looking for one online volunteer to with good writing and editing skills. knowledge in journalism and development of Training to hep us write a Manual for Journalist. The training manual can include: what is journalism, forms of journalism, ethics, ways and manners of writing and presenting reports, reports headlines. The online volunteer will not submit any request for funding.
