Background:

About the Project
SCI (Bal Raksha Bharat ) with the support from Oracle is going to impement the project on improving WASH facilities and Building learning Environment in Schools in Osmanabad district Maharashtra . Despite a favorable policy environment and implementation framework, challenges persist in terms of access to quality, inclusive gender-sensitive infrastructure, the functionality of WASH systems, and hygiene promotion in 30 schools of Osmanabad which is aspirational district. The project objective will be achieved by providing safe and clean drinking water, initiating infrastructural repairs, renovations, and construction of toilets, developing strategies for operations and maintenance, and providing behavior change support to children, teachers and school management committees. 
After project intervention 30 schools of Osmanabad (Maharashtra) have improved access to clean water, and practice safe defecation and hygiene practices. This will be broadly achieved through 
  1. Providing safe, durable and clean ambiance for schools and creating a level of comfort and confidence at learners’ mind 
  2. Improve the quality of education by providing safe drinking water facilities. 
  3. Promoting better hygiene practices among the younger generation and inspiring them to properly manage waste 
  4. Providing solutions in a sustainable manner through aligning with government priorities 
Role Purpose:
Under the overall thematic guidance, MIS Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and measuring all program activities under the project. He/She will be responsible data
management at the state level with special focus on the tracking and maintaining project MIS. S/he will work in close collaboration with the project team, government officials and relevant stakeholders.
Role & responsibilities (<5):
  • Monitor project progress and help measure impact objectively by using a quality MIS.
  • Tracking of training sessions and reach of the project
  • Support the project team smooth running of project activities like VC training and face to face training
  • Developing tools for trainings assessment
  • Support project lead in timely donor reporting
  • Undertake evaluations study as per project requirement
  • Prepare analysis and presentations for project management
  • Support Project Manager /SPM in data management for other project implemented at state.
  • Provide technical support in various studies such as baseline, end-line studies undertaken in all projects undertaken by state teams
  • Ensuring quality of the project activities
  • Undertake appropriate additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager
Measures of Performance (<5):
  • Development of the project MEAL and MIS 
  • 100% of project Factsheets updated and shared
  • Number of studies completed vs planned
  • Operational MIS capturing project performance  
  • Updated consultant roster for individual consultants and agencies for carrying out evaluation and referred by 100% of the evaluation studies
  • Provide support to state in creation of Fact sheets, state strategizing process ? Timely submission of MMU, Donor report along with project team.
  • Total # of reports submitted on time (>90% on timein smooth execution of the project

Reporting:
Direct (solid-line) to Manager Projects - MHSPO
Key relationships: (Internal & External stakeholders)  
Internal Stakeholders (collaborates with): Multi Thematic & multi-functional team at Project Office level External Stakeholders: Zilla Parishad -Education Department; Health Department, Rural Development Department, Water and Sanitation Department and W&C Development Department.
