The WTO's Language and Documentation Services Division is seeking skilled and proficient freelance transcribers who are fluent in English or French or Spanish to work with our dynamic team. This is an incredible opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals, and to contribute to the ever-evolving field of machine-generated transcription.

As a freelance transcriber, your primary task will be to review and refine machine transcription outputs to ensure they meet WTO's stringent quality standards. This will involve providing clean verbatim transcriptions that capture the nuances of the original content to maintain the integrity and meaning of the conversation.

Ideal candidates should possess the following:

• Proficiency in English /French/ Spanish, with a strong command over grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary in these languages.

• Excellent listening skills and the ability to understand diverse accents and dialects.

• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.

• Prior experience in transcription or a related field would be an advantage.

• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Familiarity with transcription software and tools would be an advantage, however training can be provided.

The assignments will be on an "on-demand" basis, as and when there is a need.

This is a home-based assignment - you will be expected to complete the tasks from where you are based now. Relocation is not necessary.

The average fee will be CHF 2.00 for every minute of video/audio input transcribed (negotiable).
