Mission and objectives
Since 2015, UNDP Iraq has been actively engaged in its "Innovation for Development" project, which has a clear mission and set of objectives to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Iraq. The primary goal of this project is to enhance the capabilities of individuals, especially young men and women, as well as institutions in Iraq in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. These efforts strongly align with the Sustainable Development Goals. Another important goal of the project is to enhance and support the overall entrepreneurial ecosystem in Iraq. This involves creating a supportive environment and providing essential tools and resources for aspiring entrepreneurs. By doing so, UNDP Iraq aims to foster an environment that nurtures entrepreneurship and facilitates its growth. One notable solution implemented by the Innovation for Development project to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Iraq is the development of the INPoint Platform. This platform is an integral part of the organization's strategy and serves as a virtual space where key actors in the field of entrepreneurship can connect and collaborate.
