Job Description
Scope of Service: The Job Training AmeriCorps will provide training and educational services to improve client capacity to obtain and retain employment and maintain economic self-sufficiency. This position will report to the Employment Supervisor. Responsibilities: Qualifications The living allowance for this position is $17,600. Upon completion of a minimum of 1,700 service hours, AmeriCorps member will be eligible for an education award of $6,895. Proposed activities will be supported, in part, with federal funds from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) AmeriCorps State program sub-granted through the Maryland Governor’s Office of Service and Volunteerism. Activities are contingent upon funding availability and award from CNCS. Working Environment: A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
