The IRC’s External Relations team comprises colleagues and teams delivering marketing, fundraising, brand stewardship and communications to support this work. As part of External Relations, the Mass Markets USA (MMUSA) program is responsible for raising $60+ million in unrestricted revenue annually in the U.S. market and plays a meaningful strategic role in the creation of IRC’s brand, awareness and support for its advocacy goals.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Mid-level Giving, the Officer of Mid-Level Giving’s main goal is to grow and nurture our mid-level donors who gives $1,000+ annually through a hybrid omni-channel mass marketing program that combines a 1:1 personal approach. The Officer of Mid-level Giving will be a key driver in bringing these high value donors even closer to the IRC’s mission.
Major Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of 200 mid-level donors with a revenue target of $1.5 million. Build relationship-based moves management strategies to identify, solicit and steward donors towards deeper engagement with IRC.
• Track and report on the integrated marketing and 1:1 stewardship strategy for their managed portfolio donors from prospect to major donor graduation.
• Coordinate all telemarketing campaigns, including but not limited to vendor management, creation of schedules, trafficking copy, ensuring the quality and accuracy of data, managing project expenses, and providing regular results and metrics.
• Serve as the organization's contact for mid-level donors, giving high-quality supporter care. Triage inquiries to other teams if needed, answer questions, and serve as a "concierge" for the donors in the mid-level program.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet shared goals, including growing donor retention, overall giving, and movement of qualified donors into Major Donor and Planned Giving portfolios.
• Manage the content, materials, and donor journey for new donors and the post-gift experience through welcome packs and multi-channel acknowledgements.
• Assist with managing multiple vendors, including cross-vendor coordination, scheduling meetings, and taking notes.
• Manage day-to-day implementation of the mid-level program and vendor relationships, including tracking on project management tools, coordinating schedules, and budget and invoice tracking.
• Ensure data processing and audience segmentation is accurate and clean for all campaigns across channels and maintain excellent donor data hygiene of our mid-level cohort in the Salesforce CRM.
• Support process improvements and optimization projects.
• Other marketing duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent 6 years of experience in direct marketing, philanthropy, or development. Transferable experience in other fields also considered.
Work Experience:
• Demonstrated project management experience – we want people who can carry projects from beginning to end, think through possible obstacles, and proactively seek creative solutions.
• Experience maintaining relationships and handling multiple projects, with many partners and vendors, both internal and external, as well as donors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, copy-editing, and proofreading skills.
• Customer service or donor care experience required.
• Vendor management experience preferred.
• Donor-facing fundraising experience a plus.
• Budget-management and reporting experience a plus.
• CRM experience required (RaisersEdge, TA, Blackbaud, etc.); Salesforce and Springboard experience a plus.
• Digitally literate with sophisticated computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint; project management tools experience preferred.
• Commitment to the mission and values of the International Rescue Committee.
• Previous non-profit experience preferred.

Working Environment:
This role may require working remotely full- or part-time (i.e., telecommuting). Applicants must have a home or alternate workspace they can effectively complete their work from during regularly scheduled hours.
