Project Management Assistant (Part Time: 50%)*

in Bonn or Berlin

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are very good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. 

Welthungerhilfe's Child Growth Monitor is a digital application using image data and artificial intelligence to turn mobile devices into tools for measuring the bodies of children in order to detect malnutrition. In order to scale the solution on global level, the Child Growth Monitor will turn into a social business. As Project Managment Assistant you will support the project lead in all administrative, MEAL-related and communicative duties related to this project.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Project and the team in project management-related tasks
  • Support in internal knowledge management, e.g. the filing system
  • Draft and design presentations, communication materials, web-content etc.
  • Prepare and document meetings, conferences and trips
  • Support in monitoring and evaluation of the project
  • Support in project reporting for institutional donors and other relevant stakeholders
  • Support in onboarding of new service providers/partners/staff
  • Support all administrative processes and fulfil general research tasks

Your profile

  • A university or college degree or a completed training corresponding to the position
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in project support, and communication
  • Experience and ease in handling conventional tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Miro) and methodologies (e.g., agile) is an advantage
  • Interest in AI/Computer Vision/Machine Learning and/or in malnutrition is an advantage
  • Excitement to work in an intercultural working environment
  • Excellent spoken and written English; German language skills would be an asset
