Established in 1976; the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is one of the United Nations Agencies working in Jordan and is the main convener of sustainable human development.

UNDP Jordan's 2018-2022 country programme is specifically designed to support national efforts in reaching a solution pathway that achieves the goal of a more inclusive and resilient nation that is able to effectively address the development challenges it is faced with through its five programme pillars.

The programme has three priority outcomes: 

  • Inclusive Participation and Social Cohesion 
  • Resilient Communities, Livelihoods and Environment. 
  • Enabling an Institutional Framework for the Realization of the 2030 Agenda. 

UNDP projects addressed the policy level as well as implementation at the national and local levels. This involved establishing real partnerships with the different national institutions (government, NGOs, and CBOs), grassroots, and local communities.

Scope of Work:

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Resident Representative, the National UN Youth Volunteer will: 

  • Support in the development and maintenance of a unified data dashboard system for projects monitoring. 
  • Support Country Office teams in maintaining their database digital platforms. 
  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with the documentation management system including the quality assurance of record management and archiving.
  • Support in corporate dashboard quality assurance platforms (IATI, QA, Risk), and follow up the reporting requirements to evaluation management responses.
  • Support the Resident Representative executive associate in taking minutes and logistics pertaining to Resident Representative missions and field visits. 
  • Support UNDP Country office in the Digital Transformation initiatives carried out by the Governance and Peace Pillar, including, but not limited to, the following tasks:      
  1. Support in implementing the Crisis Risk Dashboard (CREW). 
  2. Support in establishing the UNDP Country Office mapping exercise. 
  3. Any other digital transformation initiatives. 
  • Support the DRR/ Programme manager in monitoring programme budgets.  
  • Support the programme manager in maintaining programme delivery. 
  • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor or head of the department.
     

Institutional Arrangement:

The Programme Support will work under the supervision of the Programme Specialist and DRR Manager.
