As the Programme Manager Marketing within the FSC International, this key position will drive marketing efforts both within the Secretariat in Bonn and across local FSC teams worldwide. Together, we will ensure the effective implementation of marketing initiatives to move markets towards forest stewardship.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive marketing plans to increase awareness and market uptake of FSC.
- Spearhead brand positioning and development activities to maintain and expand FSC's credibility and leadership.
- As part of a global community of 40+ marketing and communications professionals globally, ensure alignment and effective collaboration across country, regional and international teams.
- Manage and nurture a team of 5 marketing professionals, fostering their growth and success.
- Manage the annual marketing budget and agency resources effectively.
- Build relationships with high-profile brands and NGOs to uncover and implement innovative partnership opportunities.
- Stay abreast of market dynamics and innovation, identifying opportunities to improve existing FSC services and increase market engagement.
- Develop and represent the marketing workplan to ensure alignment across departments, units and teams within FSC International and the extended FSC network.
- Analyze campaign and marketing metrics to ensure activities meet goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in marketing for highly respected organizations, with a focus on B2C and B2B marketing. Industry experience with sectors connected to forests preferred, such as furniture, construction, fashion, paper, or packaging.
- University degree in a relevant subject e.g., marketing, strategic communications, business studies.
- Proven success in developing marketing plans, strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
- Excellent knowledge of B2B/B2C campaigns, digital marketing, social media marketing and retail and in-store promotions.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple functions simultaneously.
- Solution-oriented attitude with a natural ability to collaborate and drive results through teamwork.
- Demonstrated experience in people management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (native or near-native proficiency) with proficiency in another language as a plus.
- Proficiency in standard software packages (MS Office) with experience with CRM and CMS systems.

- Based in: Bonn, Germany (home office option 2 days/week with additional 2-weeks remote work option from abroad).
