JOB PURPOSE

To collect data on all WFP projects and monitoring of WFP programmes using digital devices, providing real-time data for decision making. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Under the overall guidance of the Head of Office and the direct supervision of the Programme Policy Officer (M&E/VAM), the Data Collector/Enumerator will perform the following duties:

  1. Collect food security and nutritional data using digital devices.
  2. Undertake Post Distribution Monitoring; Baselines and End of Project Monitoring for WFP response activities/programmes.
  3. Participate in programme evaluation initiatives, recognizing and giving an account of challenges and lessons learnt in obtaining data during the assessment and other events.
  4. To support evaluation of data collection mechanism and analysis.
  5. Any other duties that may be assigned.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:           Completion of secondary school education (12 years of schooling - O’level). A post-secondary Diploma in the related functional area is desirable.

Experience:         A minimum of one year work experience in data collection and analysis.

Language:            Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Siswati.

OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Be familiar with use of mobile data collection methods.
  • Experience in report writing will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
