With its portfolio in Iraq, Malteser International is linking relief, rehabilitation and development and is implementing programs focussing mainly on Health, Social Cohesion and Livelihood. Malteser International currently employs around 20 staff members in three locations with its main office in Erbil. The donors of Malteser International in Iraq include BMZ, and private donors. Malteser International plans for further growth in the region and is extending its portfolio in terms of geographical reach, sectoral programs and partners.
For its work in Talafar, Iraq, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Logistic Officer (50%) – National Position.
As the Logistic Officer you provide logistic support for the MI-Iraq program team especially in the Talafar Office. You will also give support in logistical work for the Erbil Office.
Your responsibilities:
- Initiate and follow up on procurement process for office and project items
- Maintain accurate filing systems, with documented and supported records of action for audit purposes, and submit logistics reports upon request
- Be responsible for premises maintenance services contracting and monitoring
- Organize the timely availability of goods and transport according to project requirements
- Prepare in a timely way and according to MI guidelines logistic documents related to the annual closure
- Ensure all assets are recorded, labelled and captured in the inventory list
Your profile:
- University degree in Business administration, or other relevant studies desirable
- Minimum 3 years work experience in the field of procurement, logistics, office management, and administration or related
- Advanced knowledge in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint
- Ability to be a flexible team player in a multicultural environment
- Focused individual with capacity to plan and manage in a multiple deadline-working environment
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken)
- Language skills in Kurdish or Turkmen would be a strong asset
What we offer:
- Start Date: as soon as possible
- Duty Station: Talafar
- Working hours: 8:30 am - 12.30 am
- Duration of contract: 6 months
