SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, a member organization of SOS-Kinderdorf International, provides total care to the children who have lost their parents as well as the children who are at risk of losing the care of their biological family. The organization has well established Projects in Piliyandala, Nuwaraeliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala, Jaffna, Gandara, Peraliya, Malpotha and Mallavi invites applications from highly committed individuals who meet the requisite qualifications for the following position.
COORDINATOR – FAMILY STRENGTHENING (ANURADHAPURA)
The Co-ordinator – Family Strengthening reports to the Project Head and s/he will be responsible for coordinating community development programmes implemented by the organization. S/he should liaise with the government and non-governmental organizations and take on programme implementation and management. Field Visits, Periodic programme reviews and Progress reporting are also a part of the duties of the Co-ordinator-Family Strengthening.
Sound understanding of Social Development and Civil Society dynamics; good command of spoken and written English & Tamil, Knowledge in MS Office Packages, E-mail/Internet and ability to work as a member of a team are essential requirements.
S/he should possess a Degree or Diploma in Social Work or equivalent prior work experience in community development is preferred.
